FAQs

What information must parents supply to Pei-Pei’s Playhouse?

Before we can accept your child for care, you must supply these items:

  • Current immunization record
  • Emergency contact information
  • List of any food allergies or special dietary needs
  • Written consent to dispense any form of medication or treatment, including over-the-counter medications, sunscreen, lotion, and the like (if it is ingested or applied topically, you must provide written consent).
  • Pick-up authorization (Caregivers must provide information on all people authorized to pick up a child, and give written 48-hour advance notice for changes to pick-up authorization. Additionally, any person picking up the child must be able to provide a current valid photo ID upon request.)

 

What items should parents supply while their child is in care?

Parents should supply these items:

  • Change of clothes
  • Diapers and wipes
  • Ample supply of bottles (breastmilk or pre-measured formula) for infants
  • Baby food for infants transitioning to solids

 

Does Pei-Pei’s Playhouse provide snacks and drinks?

Yes! We provide healthy snack and beverages (milk and water) unless other accommodations have been made for children with special dietary needs. ***This is not a nut, gluten, and dairy free environment.***

 

What is your sick child policy?
For the safety and health of all children at Pei-Pei’s playhouse, we have created the following wellness and attendance guidelines.

  • Fever: If a child has a fever, he/she must be fever-free for 24 hours before returning to Pei-Pei’s Playhouse for care.
  • Vomiting and Diarrhea: Children who vomit or have diarrhea must remain home until symptom free. Children should be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning to Pei-Pei’s Playhouse for care.

 

What types of activities do children participate in while at Pei-Pei’s Playhouse?
We engage children through a variety of age-appropriate activities, including . . .

  • Free play
  • Reading and literacy-building activities
  • Outdoor play, weather permitting
  • Music and movement
  • Rest time
  • Art/sensory input

 

What else should parents expect?
As a multilingual child care provider, you should expect that your child will be spoken to in both English and Mandarin, unless you direct otherwise.

Enrollment Options

Full-time: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday 

Part-time: 25 hours per week required. Exact days and hours are agreed by Pei-Pei’s Playhouse and the parent/legal guardian(s) of the child.

Infant (3 mo. - 18 mo.) - $1295 per month.

19 mo. - 3 years - $1000 per month.


Payment 

The monthly payment is due by the 5th of every month. The monthly fee will not be adjusted due to child absence, vacation in the midst of the school year, or holiday closures/breaks. If your check is denied by the bank, you will be charged a $30.00 fee plus the balance due for childcare and any bank fees incurred by Pei-Pei’s playhouse. If a check is denied, payment must be made within 24 hours by alternate means (cash, cashier’s check) or childcare will be terminated. Checks should be made payable to Pei-Pei Heikkinen.
